Seminar on High-quality Development of Digital Governance and Information Resources Management was held at Wuhan University

The Seminar on High-quality Development of Digital Governance and Information Resources Management, undertaken by the School of Information Management, Wuhan University, was held on April 1.

More than 80 people attended the meeting, including Wei Gong, Vice President of Wuhan University, Gang Wu, Researcher and Director of the Third Division of Management Science Faculty of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Chuanfu Chen, Senior Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences at Wuhan University, representatives of related universities and schools, winners of youth fund projects in the field of information resources management.

In his speech, Wei Gong welcomed the experts and scholars attending the meeting and thanked them for their support and help to Wuhan University and related disciplines. He pointed out that high-quality data and information resources are the key factors of production in the era of digital economy and the core driving force for the high-quality development of our society. Wuhan University will make contributions to China's economic, social and cultural development with the help of the advantages of information resources management and other disciplines, conform to the changes of the times and forge ahead.

Based on the project data of the Management Science Faculty of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Gang Wu summarized and analyzed the development and trends in the fields of digital governance and information resources management. He pointed out that the theoretical and practical issues of information resources and knowledge management with digital empowerment were listed as the priority funding areas of the macro-management and policy disciplines of the National Natural Science Foundation of China during the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan period. It is necessary to conduct original research with China characteristics to meet the major needs and scientific frontiers of the national digital economy development and form a number of data-driven, problem soloving-oriented and multidisciplinary leading achievements to support macro-decision-making in related fields.

Jiang Wu, Associate Dean of the School of Information Management, Wuhan University, and Xiaoguang Wang, Associate Dean of the School of Information Management, Wuhan University, presided over the special report session.

Zhijie Lin, Tenured Associate Professor at the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University, systematically discussed the application of artificial intelligence technology in digital platform with the topic of Digital Platform and AI.

In the report titled Analysis of Decision-making Intelligence Driven by Data and Knowledge, Xiaolong Zheng, Researcher at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, analyzed the new form of social system and the governance problems caused by AI technology.

Ziqiong Zhang, Professor at the School of Management, Harbin Institute of Technology, made a report on Digital Economy, Industrial Intelligence and Income Gap, and explained the mechanism of the impact of digital economy development on national income.

Zike Cao, Tenured Associate Professor at the School of Management, Zhejiang University, in the report Frontier Research on the Application of AI Technology in Virtual Community Platform, showed the potential research direction formed by the cross-integration of AI and virtual community platform in multiple dimensions.

With the topic of Interdisciplinary Intersection and Knowledge Growth in the Field of Digital Governance and Information Resources Management, Cui Huang, Professor at the School of Public Affairs, Zhejiang University, systematically expounded the development trend of disciplines in the field of digital governance and information resources management.

Yifan Dou, Professor at the School of Management, Fudan University, in the report Economic Exploration on Data Elements Market Construction: Progress and Thinking, deeply discussed the new research topics of information economics derived from the transaction situation of data products.

In the Face-to-Face with Experts session, Wei Lu introduced the development, current information of China's information resources management discipline, and basic situation of the School of Information Management, and shared the main practices and achievements of the School in the discipline construction of information resources management.

Participants held group discussion on three forward-looking fields and key scientific issues, such as "Digital Intelligence Reform in Information Resources Management", "Data Governance and Innovation Evaluation Driven by Big Model" and "Circulation and Integration of Data Elements". Experts believe that the discipline paradigm of information resources management in the data age is in urgent need of innovation and development, and the empowerment of digital intelligence gives more possibilities for discipline development, and we should actively promote the deep intersection and innovation of information resources management discipline. Digital governance and information resources management will play a more important role in high-quality development and make greater contributions to the sustained and healthy development of China's economy and society. The Seminar was a complete success.
