Bio:

Dr Daqing is an Assistant Professor of Information Sciences and Intelligent Systems. He obtained his PhD degree from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and he conducted his postdoc research at Robert Gordon University, Scotland and the University of Maryland College Park on adaptive and interactive monolingual/multilingual information retrieval. Dr. He is the co-PI of the Pitt team at IBM lead DARPA GALE project, he also the PI on an NSF funded project. Dr He s main research interests are in Information retrieval (monolingual and multilingual), Web adaptive systems and user modeling, interactive retrieval interface design. He has published more than 70 journal and conference papers in these areas.
