To further stimulate the enthusiasm of SIM students for innovation and entrepreneurship, and deepen the study of the courseInnovation, Entrepreneurship and Career Development, the School organized more than 80 undergraduates to go toDaijiashan Science and Technology Venture Towns inJiang’an District, Wuhan on June 27 and July 4 to carry out practical study.Qian Dai, CPC Deputy Secretary of the SIM, Wuhan University,Ying HuangandFan Zhang, representatives of class tutors, andHarelehax Habuletay, Counselor, attended the visit.
At the welcoming ceremony,Qian Daiintroduced the background, significance and purpose of the activity, andQiyin Liao, Deputy Secretary of CYLC Jiang’an District Committee, introduced the characteristics and advantages of Jiang’an District.
With the accompanying of the staff of Daijiashan Science and Technology Venture Towns, the students visited the planning sand table, exhibition hall, quality service station and intelligent testing service center of Daijiashan Science and Technology Venture Towns, and went into companies, had a face-to-face conversation with company leaders. Through field visits, students had a deeper understanding of enterprises, feel innovation and entrepreneurship, and further realize the support policy of national and local governments for science and technology enterprises. The staff presented the policies related to college students' innovation and entrepreneurship, and gave the theme training ofIncubator and College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Starting from the most practical questions such as "which contests can college students participate in entrepreneurship", "What help will Daijiashan Science and Technology Venture Towns offer to college students" and "What policy support will college students get for their innovation and entrepreneurship", the relevant person in charge interpreted the entrepreneurial advantages of college students. In the subsequent communication session, the leaders of Daijiashan Science and Technology Venture Towns and company leaders answered the questions raised by the students one by one.
Through this practical study, students not only learned the theoretical knowledge of innovation and entrepreneurship, but also felt the entrepreneurial environment and enriched their practical experience of innovation and entrepreneurship.
