From August 13 to 14, the 7th China Graduate Contest on Smart-city Technology and Creative Design was held in Shanghai in the form of virtual and reality combination meeting. The team ofSijia Yu, a 2022 grade graduate student of our School, won the third prize.
Sijia Yu’s team has designed News Map, which is a map-oriented interactive web page application of spatio-temporal news. News Map is dedicated to solving the pain points of complicated news information and lack of spatio-temporal relevance of news events in the post-epidemic era. It takes the authoritative news website as the data source, and displays the news of different time periods visually based on the map, so as to enhance the spatial perception of news and the relationship between the beginning and ending of story, support diversified news data analysis, and provide users with multi-dimensional and personalized news information services.
With the concept ofCreativity Enlightens Wisdom and Innovation Drives Development, this contest set up 8 racetracks and 32 questions around the theme ofSmart-city, attracting more than 6,700 graduate students from 260 graduate education organizations nationwide to form 2,034 teams to sign up for the contest. The number of participants reached a record high, and the number of submitted works was the highest ever.
China Graduate Contest on Smart-city Technology and Creative Design is one of the competitions of China Postgraduate Innovation Practice Series Competition. It is jointly organized by the Chinese Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education, the Youth Science and Technology Center of China Association for Science and Technology and Z-park Strategic Alliance of Smart City Industry Technology Innovation.
