Recently, Springer Publishing House published the book Social Network Computing, which is written by Professor Jiang Wu of our School.

The book consists of three parts with 18 chapters. It systematically discusses the basic theory of social network in the era of digital intelligence, establishes a computational paradigm combining social network research theory with application, and expounds the computational thinking needed to understand many complicated social phenomena at present. The first part discusses the basic principles and practical methods of social network from the basic understanding of social network; The second part analyzes the research route of principle and law discovery in social network from the insight and discovery of social network; The third part summarizes the methods and applications of multi-layer computing and intelligent analysis of social network from the analysis and understanding of social network.

The book closely combines the basic theory of social network computing with the application, which is helpful to explore the hidden association behind big data based on network science and have insight into the highly interconnected complex society in the era of digital intelligence. It has important reference for cross-innovation of information resources management, management science and engineering, business administration, public management and other disciplines, and plays an important role in promoting scientific research in scientific and technological innovation, industrial upgrading, digital economy and rural revitalization from the perspective of network. The publication of this book is conducive to further promoting the study of China's social network and the international spread of China's characteristic network thought.

The Chinese version of Social Network Computing is nearly 700,000 words. It was published by Publishing House of Electronics Industry in 2023, and was supported by the fund of Major Research Projects in Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education of China, and the Key Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Springer Publishing House invited Professor Jiang Wu to publish English works for its extensive influence in exploring the theoretical system of social network computing.
