Our School Convened an Employment Advancement Meeting for the 2025 Undergraduate Graduates

2025-03-18 14:15:33

From December 25th, 2024 to January 3rd, 2025, our School organized a series of discipline-specific "Cohesion & Empowerment" Class Mentor Workshops alongside undergraduate employment promotion sessions. CPC Deputy Secretary of the School Qian Dai, deputy heads of each academic department, class mentors from 2021-grade undergraduate classes, and counselors attended the meetings, which aimed to enhance collaboration between student affairs offices and academic departments to support graduating students in completing their studies and securing employment.

Jinlong Shang, 2021-grade Counselor, presented preliminary survey data categorized by postgraduate recommendations, graduate entrance exams, overseas studies, and employment. Class mentors analyzed students’ academic progress and career readiness based on mentorship interactions. Qian Dai conveyed key points from Wuhan University’s 2025 graduate employment coordination meeting, sharing historical employment trends across disciplines. Drawing on mental health education experience, family financial backgrounds, and student performance records since 2021, she identified academic risks (e.g., thesis completion challenges) and employment pressures, deepening mentors’ understanding of individual student needs. Participants then collaboratively formulated discipline-specific support plans for students in the next phase.

This initiative, part of the School’s Employment Guidance Month, marks the first time discipline-tailored Class Mentor Workshops have been implemented. The program focuses on early risk identification and targeted interventions to reduce graduation obstacles and enhance employability. Moving forward, the School will strengthen collaborative education through these workshops, integrating career planning and employment guidance to empower mentors in supporting student development. Concurrently, it will innovate employment assistance models to cultivate highly skilled professionals with institutionalized safeguards.
