Recently, Wuhan University published the evaluation results of the 2025 Higher Education (Undergraduate) Teaching Achievement Awards. The project One Core and Five Competencies: A Cultivation System for World-Class Top-Notch Innovative Talents in Information Management in the Digital-Intelligent Era, led by Professor Wei Lu and participated in by Professors including Xiaoguang Wang, Lihong Zhou, Ping Wang, Weiwei Yan, Tingting Jiang, Shengli Deng, etc., won the university-level Special Prize. The winning of this award is a landmark teaching achievement made by our school in actively serving the Digital China strategy and solidly promoting education for the CPC and talent cultivation for the country.

This project is based on the general trend of "digital-intelligent upgrading" of the talent cultivation system, closely focuses on the needs of the digital-intelligent era and major characteristics, and innovatively proposes and practices the "One Core and Five Competencies" cultivation system, that is, taking the "Chinese Core" as the core of talent cultivation, and building the comprehensive literacy of talents with "Digital-Intelligent Mastery", "Professional Leadership", "Innovation Driving Force", "Cross-Integration Ability" and "International Competence". Through the strategy of five competencies "advancing in unison and driving each other", it significantly enhances students' national pride and professional confidence in the digital-intelligent era, and demonstrates and leads the digital-intelligent education of information management to the world-class level. The project focuses on the educational core of the "Chinese Core", closely follows the major strategic needs of the country, highlights the characteristics of "digital-intelligent empowerment" and "digital-intelligent application" of the discipline, and realizes the comprehensive digital-intelligent innovation of the talent cultivation system.

In the future, our school will continue to deepen the trinity strategy of "education, technology, and talent", expand the discipline extension, consolidate the major connotation, and strive to cultivate top-notch innovative talents with both "Chinese Core" and global competitiveness, demonstrating the mission and responsibility of Wuhan University's Information Management in the frontier field of digital-intelligent education.
