The article interpreted the national archives development plan of the 14th Five-year Plan recently issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China.
The article pointed out that archives, as the "memory and soul" of national cultural construction, are an important force in China's international communication construction. It is the mission and responsibility of Archivists in the new era to show the development of China's society in a real, comprehensive and three-dimensional way through archives, continuously improve the guidance, influence and credibility of international communication, and contribute the voice and power of China to the world. During the period of the 14th Five-year Plan, the international exchange of archives should serve the overall situation of improving China's international communication capacity. By actively participating in the UNESCO World Memory Heritage Project and high-level cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, archives should be used to build a bridge between the people and realize the dialogue among civilizations.
