On the morning of July 29,the Awarding Ceremony of the 5th China Publishing Government Awardwas held in Beijing. At the ceremony, the Decision of the National Press and Publication Administration on Commending the Publications, Publishing Units and Publishing Figures Winning the 5th China Publishing Government Awardand the list of winners of the5th China Publishing Government Award werereleased.Xianrong Huang, Professor at theDepartment of Publishing Science of theSIM, Wuhan University,Director of the Publishing Institute of Wuhan University, and Deputy Editor in Chief of Publishing Journal (in Chinese) won the Outstanding Publishing Figure Award of the 5th China Publishing Government Award. As an award-winning representative, Professor Xianrong Huang went to Beijing to participate in theAwarding Ceremony.

TheChina Publishing Government Awardis the highest award in the field of press and publication in China. It is selected every three years to commend and reward excellent publications, publishing units and individuals in domestic press and publication industry and academic community. The selection and awardingof the 5th China Publishing Government Awardis a tour and review of the publishing industry on the occasion of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CCP and China's new journey of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way.

Previously, Qing Fang, Editor in Chief of Publishing Journal (in Chinese), Dean of the Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Professor at the SIM, Wuhan University, won the Outstanding Publishing Figure Award of the 4th China Publishing Government Award.
