On the afternoon of September 30, the Undergraduate Class Tutors Appointment Ceremony and Thematic Training (No. 3) of the SIM was held.

People attended the ceremony were as followings:

Xingrong Fu, CPC Secretary of the School of Information Management, Wuhan University,

Qian Dai, CPC Deputy Secretary of the School of Information Management, Wuhan University,

Lihong Zhou, Associate Dean of the School of Information Management, Wuhan University,

2020 undergraduate class tutors, 2021 undergraduate class tutors and tutor assistants (students) of 2021 undergraduate class,

and all undergraduate counselors attended the activity.

The ceremony was presided over by Xiaoyu Chen, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Information Management, Wuhan University.

Qian Dai read out the appointment documents of class tutors of the School of Information Management, Wuhan University. Xingrong Fu put forward requirements and hopes for the work of class tutors. Combining with his own work experience, he put forward three types of excellent class tutors, which are scientific research type, good judge of talent, and friend type. He emphasized that as a qualified teacher, besides having high educational level and solid professional knowledge, it is more important to require teachers to have good moral qualities, and pointed out that class tutors should be good at investigation and research, pay attention to the construction of class culture, and enhance the leading power and cohesion of class.

Xingrong Fu and Lihong Zhou successively issued letters of appointment to the new class tutors and assistants (students).

In the session of Thematic Training, Qian Dai explained the role, responsibilities and requirements of class tutors in combination with the Implementation Rules for Undergraduate Class Tutors at the School of Information Management, Wuhan University, and shared her experience and views on how to coordinate education and teaching, and how to link the work of class tutors and counselors in education and management.

Qiaochu Zeng, full-time teacher of the Students Mental Health Education Center of Wuhan University, and class tutor of Class 6, 2021 Social Sciences, with the topic of Common Psychological Problems of Freshmen and How Class Tutors Act in, analyzed how class tutors can play their roles in shaping the healthy mind and body of college students from the perspective of psychology, and emphatically introduced practical methods such as communication skills of class tutor, how to establish alliance relations with students, four skills of effective listening, and etc.

14 class tutors have been appointed by the SIM this time, including 8 professional teachers recommended by all departments of the SIM as class tutors of grade 2020, and 6 administrative teachers from the Youth League Committee, Office for Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, Student Employment Guidance and Service Center, Students Mental Health Education Center, and Wuhan University Library, as class tutors of grade 2021. At the same time, in order to strengthen the adaptability education of freshmen, 6 outstanding students have also been appointed as tutor assistants for freshmen. The Undergraduate Class Tutors Appointment Ceremony and Thematic Training was an important measure for the SIM to achieve Implementation Rules for Undergraduate Class Tutors at the School of Information Management, Wuhan University, and it was also an effective way to theeducation path of all staff education, whole process education and all-round educationand strengthen the management of undergraduate education.
