On December 9,Wuhan Universityheld theIdeological and Political Seminar of General Education Courses. Yiming Zhao,an Associate Professor at the SIM, was invited as teacher representative in the field of Social Sciences to attend the meeting, and he shared the theme of Application of ideological and political elements in the course of Big Data and Information Society. Yiming Zhao’s sharingwas highly affirmed by teachers and leaders at the meeting, and resonated with them.

Combining with specific teaching courseware and teaching practice cases, Yiming Zhao summarized and condensed the ideological and political elements in the general course of Big Data and Information Society. From China’s practice, China’s stories, China’s cases to China’s self-confidence, from scientific and technological self-reliance, he guided students to explore and think independently and practice to serve the country. With abundant data, charts and cases, he showed the core element position of big data in developing new ideas, managing new ways and reshaping new pattern.

The Seminar was jointly hosted by the General Education Center of Wuhan University and the Courses Ideological and Political Center of Wuhan University. The Seminar invited teachers' representatives of Wuhan University’s courses, such as Guide to Classics of Humanities and Social Sciences, Guide to Classics of Natural Science and Guide to Chinese Spirit, and the four sections of Chinese civilization and world civilization, scientific spirit and life care, social sciences and modern society, artistic experience and aesthetic appreciation to jointly discuss the implementation path of ideological and political education of the curriculum in general education.
