Recently, the Ministry of Education published the recorded and approval results of 2021 undergraduate majors in colleges and universities, and the major of Big Data Management and Application applied by our school was in the list. This major has a four-year educational system, awarded with a bachelor's degree in Management, and officially enrolled students from the year 2022.

In order to meet the general requirements of the new liberal arts construction, face the new era, adapt to the new technology and lead new development, the SIM added the undergraduate major of Big Data Management and Application, aiming at the development needs of national big data strategy, aiming at the specific application problems of big data analysis theories and methods in economic management activities and the practical needs of related big data management and governance methods in all social fields in the "Internet +" and big data era. Committed to cultivating comprehensive talents with solid knowledge of management, economics, mathematics and big data science, proficient in technologies and tools of big data management and application, capable of undertaking data management, business analysis, decision support and other work of enterprises, institutions, governments, societies and other organizations.

Previously, our school has begun to recruit and train master's and doctoral students majoring in Data Science from 2019. With the opening of the undergraduate major of Big Data Management and Application, the system of training and teaching talents of Data Science in our school has been further improved, and the categories of undergraduate majors have become more complete.
