In order to further improve the quality of Wuhan University’s participating projects, on the morning of May 24, SIM held a tutorial for the provincial competition of the 12th China National College Student "Innovation, Originality and Entrepreneurship" Challenge.
The expert for this tutorial wasZhibin Mao, Secretary-General of the Expert Steering Committee of Hubei Division of the China National College Student "Innovation, Originality and Entrepreneurship" Challenge, Deputy Secretary-General of the Hubei E-Commerce University Association, and Professor at Hubei University of Economics.
People attended the tutorial were as followings:
Min Zhang, Professor, Director of the Department of Electronic Commerce,
Weiwei Yan, Associate Professor, Deputy Director of the Department of Electronic Commerce,
and about 20 team members.
At the beginning of the tutorial, Weiwei Yan gave a brief introduction about the basic situation of the guests present at the tutorial, purpose of this tutorial and the overall information of the12th China National College Student "Innovation, Originality and Entrepreneurship" Challenge.
Then, the five participating teams that advanced to the provincial competition performed an 8-minute roadshow preview in turn, and introduced the background, innovation, creativity, practice and achievements of the participating projects in detail. Each project focuses on the reality of the rapid development of e-commerce under the new situation of social development, integrates e-commerce into daily life, and is committed to solving problems in real life, such as supporting agriculture and farmers, promoting the development of real economy, inheriting intangible cultural heritage, etc., and the projects cover many fields, such as agriculture e-commerce, industrial e-commerce, and tourism e-commerce.
Zhibin Mao commented on each team's presentation and projects one by one. He gave targeted suggestions to the participating teams from the aspects of creativity, commercial value and positioning, and answered the questions raised by the students in detail. He stressed that special attention should be paid to four aspects: idea conception, project’s performability, team quality and development, and the quality of narrative writing, and the project should be from solving social problems and practical difficulties.
Finally, Min Zhang made a concluding speech on this tutorial. She thanked Professor Zhibin Mao for his careful guidance, and at the same time stressed once again the ways and means of participating in the"Innovation, Originality and Entrepreneurship" Challenge.She hoped that each team could seriously absorb the valuable suggestions put forward by experts and continuously improve their level.
In this tutorial, Professor Zhibin Mao meticulously and rigorously helped the students to answer questions, pointed out potential risks in the project, and played an effective role in consolidating and improving the quality of the participating projects.
