She said that she was very happy to have face-to-face communication with high-level talents of the SIM and help them to solve practical problems. She thought that the SIM has formed an excellent talents echelon covering university-level talents, provincial-level talents, young talents of national talent program, distinguished professors of national talent program, and senior professors of Humanities and Social Sciences, which is the result of the efforts of generations of SIMers. She hopes that the SIM can adhere to the concept of serving talents, further make a comprehensive plan for talents work, earnestly implement relevant talent policies, communicate with high-level talents with heart and affection, and give full care to them.

She put forward expectations for young talents as follows:

Firstly, young talents should enhance their horizon, with the feelings of serving the country, and make contributions to Wuhan University’s development and social progress.

Secondly, talents should do a good job of mentoring and helping. Elder scholars should provide help to young scholars, and young scholars should willing to take elder scholars’ advice.

Thirdly, the School should strengthen disciplines collaboration and talents collaboration, and be devoted to organized scientific research activities.

Fourthly, talents should combine work with rest, strengthen physical exercise, maintain physical and mental health, and reasonably relieve psychological stress.
