On the afternoon of September 8, the School held a faculty and staff meeting to arrange the key work for the new semester.Xingrong Fu, CPC Secretary of the School,Wei Lu, Dean of the School, and other faculty members attended the meeting.Xingrong Fupresided over the meeting.

At the meeting,Wei Luconveyed the spirit of the Autumn Cadres Training of Wuhan University. According to the requirements of the Autumn Cadres Training, the School should further have consensus, unite as one, adhere to the new development concept, take promoting high-quality development as the theme, taking moral education as the foundation, deepening reform as the driving force, and strive to enhance its comprehensive strength and core competitiveness, so as to welcome the 20th Party Congress with new achievements.

Wei Lupointed out that with the joint efforts of all teachers, students and administrative staff, the School achieved good results in the first half of the year, but it has still faced a grim situation. In the second half of the year, the School would continue to adhere to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, be firm and confident, be active and promising, and strive to promote the high-quality and sustainable development of the School.

Specifically, the School would focus on seven key issues as followings:

Firstly, to welcome the opening of the 20th Party Congress;

Secondly, actively go out and recruit more competent talents;

Thirdly, do a good job in employment;

Fourthly, do a good job in the phased assessment of first-class major construction points;

Fifthly, to plan the uninterrupted education of undergraduate-graduate-doctor;

Sixthly, strive to achieve breakthroughs in key prizes and key projects;

Seventhly, to ensure cultural construction, informatization and other facilities.

He hoped that all the faculty and staff would strengthen their responsibility, establish a sense of crisis, give full play to their own advantages, grasp new ideas, new models and new methods, and forge ahead with a new attitude.
