Recently,China Association for Science and Technologypublished the list ofthe 7th China Association for Science and Technology Young Talents Support Projects, andYing Huang,Associate Professorat our School was in the list.
Ying Huang’sresearch fieldsincludesci-tech literature metrology, sci-tech information and sci-tech evaluation, sci-tech management and sci-tech policy, etc. He has published more than 70 academic papers in related fields, among which PNAS, JASIST, JOI and other SCI/SSCI indexed journals have published more than 40 papers and co-authored one academic monograph. His Google Scholar h-index is 17, and the i10 index is 31. Also, he leads a Youth Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and a Youth Project of High-end Sci-tech Innovation Think Tank ofChina Association for Science and Technology.
Ying Huang is CPC Secretary of the teachers' branch of the Department of Library Science, and Deputy Director of the Department of Library Science of our School, Deputy Director of the Center for Science, Technology & Education Assessment, Wuhan University, Deputy Editor-in-Chief ofTechnological Forecasting and Social Change, aSSCI journal in the field of technological innovation management, and China Editor-in-Chief ofForesight, aESCI journal, Editorial board member ofProfesional de la informacion, aSSCI journal, guest editor ofScientometrics, aSCI/SSCI journal, and guest editor of IEEETransactions on Engineering Management, aSCI/SSCI journal. In 2019, he was selected into the Hubei Province Chutian Scholar Program, and in 2021, he won the Young Information Scientist Award at the 3rd Meeting of the Society of Science and Technology Information of China.
TheYoung Talents Support Projectsis a national-levelyoung talents program initiated by theChina Association for Science and Technologyin October, 2015. It supports the specific implementation of the national society or association of societies affiliated to China Association for Science and Technology, aiming at building a national reserve team of high-level scientific and technological innovative talents. TheYoung Talents Support Projectsstrongly support young scientific and technological talents aged 32 and below who have great innovation ability and development potential in key common technologies, leading technologies, modern engineering technologies, disruptive technologies, key core technologies, etc., helping them to make outstanding achievements in the golden age of creativity and grow into high-level leading talents and important reserve forces for high-level innovation teams in major national scientific and technological fields. At present, three scholars, including Yiming Zhao, Jin Mao and Ying Huang, have been selected into theYoung Talents Support Projects.
