On November 13th and 14th, 2015 Wuhan University students track and field sports meeting was held in Olympic playground. Our delegation behaved so well that we won four medals.
The CPC Secretary Zeng Yixin and the CPC deputy Secretary Wang Hua attended the opening ceremony. The phalanx of 47 people with "Glory WHU, Color SIM "as the theme, dressed in unified fluorescent green uniforms, with" WHU SIM" on it, holding court flags, which combined the edge of fashion with the theme of sports and added a bright color to the field on a cloudy day. The novel idea won the big round of applause.
During two days of competition, 64 athletes participated in all games. All the athletes had done their best. The total score of Men team achieved a breakthrough ranking the seventh. The students sports team won ‘Sportsmanship Spirit’ award. Our school continued to maintain the advantage in games like 100-meter dash, long jump, triple jump, and 2 players in 100 m run made it to the final of the Man's games. And we had a breakthrough in the high jump, triathlon and 400 m. In the Women's games, Gao Zhihui of Grade 2013 won both the Women's 3000 m and 1500 m champions of Wuhan University. Women's high jump, long jump and hurdles had breakthroughs. This year there were 16 projects in total that got into the top eight of the school.
In order to ensure the athletes fully engaged in the matches, our school arranged logistics work in detail for athletes. Every athlete was equipped with a full-time staff service. The school set up fixed area for special athletes shoes and water to make sure athletes can focus on the match. Students of propaganda team carefully edited manuscripts, cheerleading team flag-waving. Finally our school won 14th ‘Sportsmanship Spirit’ award by integrity and good spirit.
Our school has always attached great importance to the students' sports activities. School would organize court games every year, such as freshmen volleyball sports activities in the first semester and ‘Healthy Hour‘ series of activities in the second semester. The school encourage students to do more exercise and to participate in a variety of activities. This year the School of Information Management won the WHU Women's volleyball championship, Men's volleyball competition in third place and more. We believe in our students will create brilliance in the playground next time!
