There was a warm-hearted party held in Humanity Building at 6:30, Sept. 11th . All the people gather together, including our party secretary Yixin Zeng, dean Qing Fang, directors of all majors, instructors of both undergraduates and postgraduates, warmly welcome our new “host”, the 2015 grade undergraduates and postgraduates. The host of the party was deputy party secretary Hua Wang.

Dean Fang gave all our freshmen a hearty welcome on behalf of our school, and gave us a spectacular speech from the perspective of three characteristics our school famous for, “longest history, biggest scope and enormous potentiality”, and based on the moving history, detailed data and living cases. He believed that school of information management will be the best choice for freshmen, and he hoped that freshmen will fit in soon and start to plan for their career and life, not only knowing how to study but also how to be a human.

Professor Dan Wu spoke for the teachers and instructors. She believed teachers can also be friends with students, and encouraged freshmen to chase their dream. Chairman of Postgraduate Union Dan Yao called on us to cherish every moment and fight for our goal. And the behalf of freshmen Xing Xu showed their determination to fulfill teachers’ expectation.

There were 235 undergraduates, 202 postgraduates and 49 doctors will start their new lives in School of Information Management in Wuhan University.
