Professor Zhang Lin was elected as a board member of the International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics (ISSI)

 

Recently, in the election of the International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics (ISSI) 2019, Professor Zhang Lin was elected as a board member of ISSI.

 

The ISSI Society was founded at the International Conference on Bibliometrics, Informetrics and Scientometrics held in Berlin in September, 1993. The International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics (ISSI) is an international association of scholars and professionals active in the interdisciplinary study science of science, science communication, and science policy. This community focuses on quantitative approaches to the study of science, including informetrics, scientometrics, and webometrics.

 

This is the first time a Chinese scholar was elected as a board member of the ISSI.

 

About Zhang Lin


Zhang Lin is a full-professor at School of Information Management of Wuhan university in China . She holds a Phd degree of management science, on the topic of quantitative science study.


Her research interests include bibliometrics, research evaluation and research policy.


She currently services at the international journal of Scientometrics as an associate editor, and editorial board member of Frontiers in Scholarly Metrics and Analytics,Journal of Data and Information Science. She is the vice-director of Chinese Association for Scientometrics and Informetrics. She is the Principal Investigator for several national projects funded by National Science Foundation of China.
