The Ministry of Education recently released the list of national and provincial first-class undergraduate program construction sites in 2019. 31 national first-class undergraduate program construction sites of Wuhan University were approved, Editing and Publishing, Library Science program of our school were listed among them.

In April 2019, the Ministry of Education issued the Notice on the Implementation of "Double 10,000 Plan" for the Construction of First-class Undergraduate Programs, which plans to build about 10,000 national first-class undergraduate programs and 10,000 provincial first-class undergraduate programs from the year 2019 to 2021. It aims to promote the "quality revolution" of higher education, improve the quality of talent education, revitalize undergraduate education and realize the connotative development of higher education through the first-class programs selection and construction. As the first round of "Double 10,000 Plan" selection, 1,059 universities and 9,483 programs applied for the construction of national first-class undergraduate program construction site. The application universities covered 85% of national undergraduate universities. Finally, the first batch of national first-class undergraduate program construction sites including 4,054 national first-class undergraduate program construction sites and 6,210 provincial first-class undergraduate program construction sites were approved.
