On the evening of December 26, 2019, School of Information Management Student Award Ceremony of 2019 and New Year Performance of 2020 kicked off in the main hall of the Humanities Building. Chuanfu Chen, Dean of the Graduate School of Wuhan University, Linqing Yang, Secretary of the Communist Youth League of Wuhan University, Hua Zhong, deputy director of Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee of Wuhan University, Zhengjun Zuo, deputy director of Postgraduate Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee of Wuhan University, Xingrong Fu, Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Information Management, Qing Fang, Dean of School of Information Management, other management leaders of School of Information Management and all directors and deputy directors of departments, centers, and offices, class tutors, award-winning students, collective representatives and party league branch, undergraduate and postgraduate students attended the ceremony.

The theme of this year's ceremony was Celebrate the 70th Birthday of China, Inherit the 100 Years of Wenhua Spirit, which meant to pay our respects to the motherland's 70th birthday and celebrate the centenary of the School of Information Management. The opening video, with the thread of One Hundred Years of School of Information Management is at its Life's Full Flowering narrated the history and development of 100 years' School of Information Management. From the perspective of history, reality and future, it comprehensively showed the original aspiration and mission, native land emotion and innovative spirit of all generations of the School of Information Management.

We have kept be forging ahead during 100 years. Over the past year, students of the school have made outstanding achievements in the fields of ideology, study and scientific research, academic innovation, social work and collective construction. A large number of advanced individuals and collectives have emerged. At the award ceremony, Wenhua scholarship, National scholarship, Postgraduate Student Academic Innovation, Star of the Undergraduates of School of Information Management, excellent league members, outstanding communist youth league cadres, outstanding student cadres, advanced Party branches, social activists, advanced classes, class of good style study, civilized dormitory were awarded to outstanding students and advanced collectives.

In the session of "Face to Face with Excellent Students", Siyu Chen, who was awarded with Lei Jun Scholarship, Star of the Undergraduates of School of Information Management" (Innovation and Entrepreneurship), shared his experience, he expressed that only do supremely well so that you can stand out from the crowd as he made project proposals and attended academic competition. Dingquan Zeng, Star of the Undergraduates of School of Information Management" (Professional Learning), pointed out that one should raise his self-standards and treat teachers' curriculum requirements as the lower limit rather than the upper limit. Shaobo Liang, outstanding doctoral student representative, said that scientific research should base on interest and researchers should be prepared to stay lonely. Muyan Li, outstanding representative of postgraduates, shared her experience on "how to balance the relationship between work, study and life". The class catwalk show was a traditional session of Award Ceremony. Class tutors and students of 21 classes performed respectively in the stage. They lit up the hall with dancing, chorus and sitcoms. In the end, a song of "My Motherland and I" sung by teachers and students drew a successful conclusion of School of Information Management Student Award Ceremony of 2019.
