Xingrong Fu, CPC Secretary of our School, led a team to University of Tsukuba in Japan to carry out exchange activities from July 9 to 13. People attended the exchange activities were as followings:

Siluo Yang, Class Tutor of 2022-grade Continuous Cultivation from Undergraduate to Doctoral Students in Digital Culture,
Jinlong Shang, Counselor of 2022-grade undergraduate students of our School, as well as two graduate students and six undergraduates.
On July 10, our students and teachers had a discussion with the leaders including Morishima, Associate Dean of the Institute of Library, Information and Media Science, University of Tsukuba, and teachers. The two sides introduced the information of their schools respectively, and held talks on the joint training of students and the short-term exchange in the third semester, hoping to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism between the two institutions in multiple aspects.
The students and teachers also visited a number of laboratories in the University of Tsukuba. The laboratories covers acoustics, optics, comics and other fields. The vivid demonstration aroused strong interest of our students, and they asked many questions and interacted actively. After the visit, Japanese students prepared a Tea party for our students, everyone learned more about each other's life and culture in a relaxed atmosphere.
On July 11, an academic exchange event consisting of eight reports was held at the Institute of Library, Information and Media Science, University of Tsukuba. Six undergraduates of our School gave presentations. They talked about library in villages and Dunhuang culture, showing good professional ability and self-confidence.
On July 12, Professor Morishima led students and teachers to visit the National Diet Library, Japan. In the occupying an eight-story underground library, everyone got a comprehensive understanding of the storage methods of books, the influence of the environment on the collections and the technology used in borrowing and returning books.
The University of Tsukuba is a famous comprehensive national university in Japan and one of the world's renowned research institutions. This activity has consolidated and deepened the ties between the Institute of Library, Information and Media Science, University of Tsukuba and our School, and is an important measure for our School to strengthen the training of top-notch innovative talents and open a new pattern of international cooperation. This activity was strongly supported by the Office of International Affairs, Wuhan University, who offered great help and guidance to the students and teachers in the visiting arrangement and pre-departure education.
