On September 23rd, the Digital Cultural Tourism Innovation Forum of 2023 China Digital Economy Industry Conference was held in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. More than 100 experts, scholars and practitioners of digital cultural tourism from all over the country attended the forum. Jiang Wu, Professor at our School, was invited to attend and gave a keynote speech at the forum.

Focusing on the theme of digitalization transformation of cultural tourism industry, digitalization of cultural tourism services and the improvement of its quality and efficiency, Jiang Wu pointed out in the keynote report entitled with Building a New Industry Ecosystem of Rural Revitalization via Digital Intelligence: The Logic and Path of the Integration of Rural Agriculture, Business and Cultural Tourism with Digital Intelligence Empowerment that the development of digital business in rural areas is an important breakthrough and effective means to comprehensively promote rural revitalization and promote the effective integration of rural agriculture, business and cultural tourism in county-tier and town-tier. Empowering agriculture, farmers and rural areas by integrating data, technology, intelligence and other elements, thus generates the effect of fusion, interaction and connection.

Taking the Urban-Rural Interconnection Model, achievement of a National Key R&D project, Jiang Wu systematically introduced the practical path of the integration of rural agriculture, business and cultural tourism with digital intelligence empowerment.

In view of the real problems such as the lack of visitors flow and difficulty in selling goods in rural areas, the Urban-Rural Interconnection Model has built and improved an online digital platform for urban-rural interconnection and a real rural business operation system. It attracts visitors into the village via the service of cultural tourism with digital intelligence, and takes goods out of the village via the service for agricultural products with digital intelligence, connects urban and rural resources with digital technology, promotes the interaction among parties of agriculture, business and cultural tourism with cloud supply chain, promotes the digital intelligence fusion of new rural models and new industry ecosystem with content community, digital commerce and data intelligence, and promotes in-rural consumption and attracts investment via professional operation so as to improve urban-rural economic development.

After the meeting, Jiang Wu had further discussions with participating experts and business practitioners on issues such as digital rural cultural tourism and the practical path of urban-rural interconnection model.
