In order to further improve the international exchange level of students in our School and expand the direction of international development, at noon on October 12, our School organized an Introduction Meeting on Wuhan University International Student Exchange Programs. Ye Zhou, Director of Student Management Department of the Office of International Affairs, Wuhan University, introduced Wuhan University’s international talent training program and related policy to the students. CPC Deputy Secretary Yaolin Jiang, Associate Dean Lihong Zhou and about 100 students attended the meeting. Lihong Zhou presided over the meeting.
In the presentation, Ye Zhou introduced the data of students going abroad, programs information, scholarship, application system and other international resources within Wuhan University, and explained them in detail with specific cases. He pointed out that Wuhan University has provided generous scholarship for students to visit foreign universities each year, with the aim of helping students explore their study boldly and supporting their educational dreams. In addition, scholarship can also help students to realize more opportunities, such as participating in international academic conferences, internships in international organizations or other academic-related events, so as to broaden their horizons, increase their knowledge and improve their comprehensive ability. Combining with his own experience in going abroad, Ye Zhou gave some suggestions to students, such as paying attention to GPA, the language level should meet the standards of admission, paying attention to the deadline of application, making good physical and mental preparations, finish the completed internal procedures and learning to be independence.
In the interaction session, students enthusiastically asked questions and discussed on the scholarship for undergraduate, master and doctoral students respectively, the significance of GPA and language score, and arrangements of international exchange programs.
Students said that this introduction meeting improved their understanding of international exchange programs, urged them to think more about future life, helped them to make study plan more clearly, and dare to explore internationally and pursue their dreams.
In recent years, with the support of the Office of International Affairs, Wuhan University, and relevant institutions, our School has continued to explore and practice in the internationalization of the School and the cultivation of global competence talents, providing strong help and guidance for students to visit foreign universities, participate in world-class prestigious university projects and international organization internships.
