On October 14, Compilation and Research on Archives of Publishing Management During the Republic of China,the 2022 Major Project of the National Social Science Fund of China, was opened. Yonggui Wu, Professor at our School, was the chief expert of the project.
The opening meeting was in a combination of virtual and reality meeting. People attended the project opening meeting were as followings:

Yonggui Wu reported the general information of the project, and introduced the research plan and conception of the project from seven aspects: the initiative of the research, key problems to be solved, the overall research framework and content, the research focus and difficulties, innovations in the research, research objectives and the expected results.
The key members of the five sub-projects made brief reports on the collection and compilation of archives of publishing management during the Republic of China, digital development and visual presentation of multiple historical information, contemporary value interpretation and functional activation and utilization, as well as the system design and practice of publishing management in the Republic of China, publishing management in the Republic of China and socialized production of knowledge.
The experts highly affirmed the theoretical value and practical significance of the project, and thought that the overall research idea of the project was appropriate, the research objectives of each sub-project were clear, the research methods were specific, the research perspective was novel, and the technical pathway was feasible. The experts suggested that the project team should pay attention to the logical scale of independence and correlation among the five sub-projects, make clear the spatio-temporal category and collection boundary of archival data collation, pay attention to the differences in management level, management means, management system and management subject during the Republic of China, and make sample specifications and style arrangements for the expected project results in advance. Xin Hu, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Wuhan Publishing House, the publisher of the project results, said that he has been full of expectations for the upcoming results and would fully support them to ensure the high quality of the publication.
