Data and Information Management (DIM) is an international academic journal published by Elsevier. DIM was founded in September 2017 by Professor Feicheng Ma and is presently co-edited by Professor Wei Lu and Professor Gary Marchionini. Professor Xiao-Liang Shen serves as the current Executive Editor-in-Chief.
DIM adheres to a strict double-blind peer review process and publishes high-quality original research papers in the field of data and information management. Committed to advancing both theoretical insights and practical applications, the journal covers a wide range of disciplines, including library and information science, information systems, computer science, management, and related research areas. With a focus on information behavior and interaction, DIM actively encourages and prioritizes submissions from interdisciplinary domains.
DIM is currently indexed by various databases and journal lists, such as EI, Scopus, DOAJ, SCImago Journal Rank (SJR), FMS Recommended List of High-Quality Journals, AMI Journal List, CNKI, PubMed, EBSCO, Elsevier ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar. Within the Library and Information Sciences category of the Scopus database, DIM ranks 75th among 266 journals (placing it in the top 28%). The editorial board of DIM consists of a group of distinguished scholars who have a broad and significant international academic impact, including fellows of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, and the Academy of Sciences in Developing Countries. Additionally, it also includes a number of highly cited scholars recognized by Elsevier and Clarivate Analytics.
To further enhance the academic impact of the journal and improve the quality of peer review, as well as to provide an excellent academic exchange platform for scholars globally, we are actively seeking Associate Editors and Editorial Review Board Members for DIM. The appointment term is 2 years, with the possibility of renewal based on performance.
Associate Editor Recruitment Requirements:
l Candidates should have an international academic background and demonstrate a strong academic reputation and influence in the related fields.
l A proven track record of publications in relevant fields in internationally renowned academic journals is essential.
l Candidates should exhibit enthusiasm for editorial work in academic journals and possess extensive experience in manuscript handling.
l A doctoral degree in library and information science, information systems, computer science, management, or related fields is a must.
l Preference will be given to scholars who have previously served as associate editors or guest editors for internationally renowned SCI/SSCI journals in relevant fields of DIM.
Editorial Review Board Recruitment Requirements:
l Candidates should have a track record of publishing high-quality research papers in internationally recognized academic journals in relevant fields within the past 2 years.
l Candidates must adhere to the relevant requirements of the journal, demonstrate integrity and responsibility, and possess the time, ability, and enthusiasm to undertake peer review work.
l A doctoral degree in library and information science, information systems, computer science, management, or related fields is a must.
l Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in reviewing for SCI/SSCI journals.
Responsibilities of Associate Editors and Editorial Review Board Members:
l Ensure the academic quality of manuscripts to maintain the scholarly standard of DIM. In particular,
Ø Associate Editors should promptly send manuscripts assigned by the executive EIC for review and, based on the collected review comments, write AE review reports, and provide suggestions for rejection, revision, or acceptance along with specific reasons.
Ø Editorial Review Board Members should complete the peer review tasks assigned by the AE professionally and efficiently, and offer objective, thorough, and constructive review comments in a timely manner.
l Promote DIM at major academic conferences; actively publicize papers published in DIM through various academic channels; cultivate and recommend expert reviewers and authors for our journal.
l Adhere to and implement the editorial policies of DIM, and provide constructive advice and suggestions for the development and promotion of DIM.
