With the great attention of the School and careful preparation of relevant teachers and graduate students, our School’s 2024-grade graduate students welcoming work was completed successfully. 319 new graduate students went through the registration, and have settled in the shores of East Lake and the foot of Luojia Mountain, opening a new chapter at Wuhan University.
The volunteers were already busy on the early morning of September 3rd. At about seven o'clock, with the arrival of the first new graduate student, the welcoming work kicked off officially. Students from all over the country gathered here to embark on a new academic journey together. New graduate students chose their favorite hand-held slogans and took photo after registration.

They visited the site to learn more about the progress of our School’s welcoming work and express appreciation to the volunteers. They also communicated with new students, and encouraged them to work hard, forge ahead and have a pleasant postgraduate time at Wuhan University.
School CPC Secretary Xingrong Fu, Dean Wei Lu, School CPC Deputy Secretary Yaolin Jiang, Associate Dean Xiaoguang Wang, and other leaders of the School gave guidance and participated in the welcoming work. They communicated enthusiastically with new students and their parents, tried to know more about new students’ arrangements of accommodations and academic plan. The concern and sympathy of the leaders made new students and parents feel the warmth of home and eased their discomfort when they first arrived.
Yaolin Jiang, Postgraduate Counselor Ke Wu, Postgraduate Counselor Qiuyan Fan, and Postgraduate Counselor Yiming Ma, visited the new students’ dormitory around the dinner time. They inquired in detail about the food preference, accommodations and environmental adaptation of new students, and answered students' questions about mutual selection between students and tutors, and future development of postgraduate study. They encouraged new students to adapt to the pace of study and life at the postgraduate stage as soon as possible and spend a full youth time at Wuhan University.
