The Symposium on High-quality Development of Publishing by AI and Data Elements was held in Haikou, Hainan on September 22nd. Qing Fang, Dean of Publishing Research Institute of Wuhan University, Professor at the Department of Publishing Science of our School, was invited to gave a keynote speech entitled Practical Frontier of Creative Quality Driven Productive Dynamic in Publishing.
Qing Fang elaborated on the application and practice of the theory of creative quality driven productive dynamic in publishing industry. He pointed out that the practical frontier of creative quality driven productive dynamic in publishing lies in three aspects: new business forms of publishing, new models of publishing and new scenes of publishing. New business forms of publishing refers to a relatively independent publishing industry category or industrial form based on technological innovation, and it is the frontier of practical exploration of creative quality driven productive dynamic in publishing. New models of publishing involves the organization and operation of publishing resources, the design and practice of publishing profit model, and the creation and provision of publishing services, which should become another important field for the practical exploration of creative quality driven productive dynamic in publishing. New scenes of publishing takes the reader or demand side as the "incision", and paying attention to the new scenes is the inherent requirement for the theory of creative quality driven productive dynamic in publishing industry to empower the publishing industry to develop with high quality. Qing Fang called on publishers to promote the development of creative quality driven productive dynamic in new business forms, new models and new scenes, and contribute to the prosperity of publishing industry.
Qing Fang was also invited to present awards to the winners of 2024 China Most Academic Influential Publishing House (2014-2023) at the Symposium.
The Symposium on High-quality Development of Publishing by AI and Data Elements was to explore the new path of high-quality development of China's publishing industry under the background of AI wave and data elements, and to jointly explore new challenges and opportunities for the integrated development of the publishing industry by sharing cutting-edge technologies, exchanging practical experience and discussing development trends, so as to promote the creative quality driven productive dynamic of the publishing industry itself.
