The ASIS&T annual meeting is the top international academic meeting in the field of information science and technology, aiming to promote the study of information, people, and technology. The 2017 ASIS&T annual meeting adopted the theme Connecting People and Information in the Physical and Visual Worlds, and attracted worldwide high-level scholars and those who have researched on such fields to share their latest research achievements, exchange latest thoughts and ideas, which provided a rare opportunity to explore core concepts, innovate theories and technologies, and gain insight into the development and future of information science.

During the ASIS&T annual meeting, DIM exhibited itself throughout and made targeted invitations to contribute articles in all the workshops to numerous scholars, in order to comprehensively and specifically have face-to-face communications and interactions with high-level scholars working on relevant disciplines, explain to them the incentive policies of the journal, and provide them with introductions and answers. In addition, DIM actively made in-depth communications with presidents of several top schools and colleges belonging to iSchool and took their advice about the development of the journal.

As the only Chinese exhibitor, DIM ranked first in the list of exhibitors, which fully showed the ASIS&T host’s support for and trust in DIM, and provided a good opportunity for DIM to show itself to the international academia.
